Regardless of industry segment, all businesses have offices, telephones, office equipment and office supplies. All of that equipment is generally “industry agnostic”.
Your firm probably uses packaged software applications (or interfaces with SAAS software on the cloud) such as Microsoft Office/365, payroll applications, HR applications, browsers, search engines, etc. All of these software applications are “industry agnostic”.
Most executives believe that their industry segment is unique – and they are correct. But, contrary to common belief, all businesses generally have the same needs: data acquisition and ways to use that data to operate the business, to increase profitability and to expand their penetration into their markets.
However, we, at The CSSC Group, are not ‘contaminated’ with the mantra, “this is how it is done in this industry”. We believe that software is universal to all businesses and we subscribe to the belief that information technology solutions for one industry can sometimes apply to a completely-different industry.
And, if you notice, we have created software for many disparate industries. We are quick to learn your way of doing business and we identify your needs and wants. We did not come into those client sites with any advance knowledge of the specific industry and we had to learn. But, we are “quick studies” and our time to “get up to speed” is very short.

Since we have served hundreds of companies in many industries, on numerous occasions, we have used methods of one industry to solve the problems of another industry. Because of our unfamiliarity with your industry, we would ask questions that would not normally be asked which sometimes result in looking at things “with a new set of eyes”.
The sad part is that if your industry-specific software developers are exposed to solely one industry, they would never be exposed to another industry’s solution to a similar problem and they would not question dyed-in-the-wool procedures or traditions.
